Welcome to Room 19!

2016 is going to be another fantastic year at Huapai.  There are some great things planned already and I am really looking forward to getting to know you all in just over a weeks time.

A little about me:

I grew up in Coromandel (town) and I love going home there for the holidays to see my family and to relax.  Here are a couple of photos of what I got up to this summer.

My brother holds a festival every summer at my family property.  This year a band called Acetones played.  Do you recognise their amazing keyboard player?  (hint: she used to work at Huapai!)

Here is the Sephton family enjoying the festival.  My Dad was wearing a really cool T-shirt that flashes in time to the music!
This is Riley who lives with in Coromandel between my parents house and my brother's house.  He loves chasing pinecones at the beach.  He does not love swimming though.

I went to the South Island for 10 days over New Years.  We went on a 4 day hike called the Kepler track.  We had to carry all of our food, clothes, sleeping bag and water for the whole time.  It was really tough but lots of fun.  The scenery was amazing!

We also went to Milford Sound and camped near there for 4 nights.  The weather was perfect the whole time!  We were really lucky.

I love the outdoors.  I also enjoy reading, cooking, dancing, listening to music, going to the movies, and spending time with friends.

I would love to hear about what you have gotten up to over the holidays!  Please feel free to add a comment underneath.

I look forward to seeing you during the conferences on the 2nd and 3rd of February.

  1. Wow your holiday looked really cool, much better than ours! I recognized Ms Bolton playing the keyboard :). We went to tree adventures and saw Star Wars: The Force Awakens recently, we also had a swim at Parakai Hot Pools which was fun. I have personally been raising money for camp and hope to have a fair amount by the end of the holidays.

    1. Hi Liz! Well done for commenting on the blog. I haven't seen the new Star Wars movie yet. Do you recommend it? I am pleased to hear you have been raising money for camp. See you next week.
